He’s takin me for granted or something-venting

a few months ago, our friend moved in with us due to a really messed up situation with his ex and the cops. He has always been our closest friend so when he had no place to go and needed a place, of course we said yes. So, now he moves in to our new home. This is mine and my boyfriends first place alone together, mind you. Everything is ok at first, we don’t tell him he has to pay rent because he lost his job when he had to leave the state he was in. He eats our food, and while he isn’t a pig so to speak, he does gobble up all the sweets. He drinks all of our soda and tea and won’t make more tea. He never says he will even prepare a meal. He does help straighten up around the house, but in a rushed kind of way where he kind of just sticks stuff where he thinks it may go, but never takes the time to actually ask where it goes so I have to hunt for things all the time. He complains when we ask him to help with the yard work and he will do it but is so whiney about it, it is easier just to not ask him. We have to pay for his gas to go to his probation and court meetings that are 2 hours away, but then he runs off into the next town over and parties and wastes all the gas so the next time he has a meeting he has no gas. He is ALWAYS on my computer, I have to ask to use my own personal laptop to do my schoolwork or whatever. If he isn’t on the laptop he is on the other one “organizing” his music files. He downloads music onto my laptop which scares me because I don’t have a good antivirus software. He sleeps on our couch and stays up till like 3am on the computer, then wants to sleep all day. He says he is applying for jobs online, but the amount he says he applied to someone would have hired him by now.
I felt bad for him back in March and understood he was depressed, but this is ridiculous! He runs up our phone bill as we don’t have long distance and have to pay 10 cents a minute. He won’t help with household repairs. UGGHHH he is so frustrating. What do I do?
