Give A Mentally Handicapped Guy a Key to Our Place? Sure.

My roommate was a closeted gay man until he came out at 40.  He’s 48 now.  He has been out of work for 12 months because of the economy and his generally abrasive manner.

Because he is generally unattractive, and he’s making up for lost time, he is dating a developmentally disabled 26 year old who lives with his parents.  My roommate decided to give the boyfriend a key to our house without telling me.  The boyfriend comes into the house at any hour without knocking or saying hello.

Tonight the boyfriend came into the kitchen through the back door, without knocking or saying hello, (he doesn’t live here) and even surprised my roommate who wasn’t expecting him. I said "How do you think I feel?"  I wasn’t expecting him either, but the boyfriend just walks right into our house without even knocking or saying hello or anything.  He said he gave the boyfriend a key and he can come in any time he wants.  At least I can tell where the boyfriend is in the house, I just follow the drool.
