I cannot wait for my roommate to move out at the end of the year. He is one of the most irritating people I have ever met. There are 5 of us in the house and when some of tried to set up a cleaning roster for the shared areas, apparently "we’ll just clean when it needs it" (he says while standing in bird feather that the cat has just brought in) and we’ll all just "take it in turns to buy washing powder (1 month later cue the "why is it my turn?!" whinge) We are all apparently "lame" because we don’t go out partying all the time and we don’t want to drink copious quantities of alcohol on a Wednesday night when we have classes the next day. He leaves his dishes in the sink for days at a time unless someone else attends to them (haha, sooo funny!) and uses the main bathroom which is only supposed to be shared between me and 2 other roomies- stinks it out, leaves skid marks in the toilet and does not consider it his responsibility to clean it or replace the papare. All the while, he complains that WE are so young!
He claims to be "wild" and constantly talks about how he’s going to take LSD some time soon and hints that he is having lots of sex with random girls. This is irritating because it’s clearly a lie- he is overweight, fails to shave most days and has bad BO. We have never seen or heard any girls at the house and they can’t all be taking him home with them. (On a balance of probabilities, IF they actually do exist) What really gets me is that he hints at these encounters to me as if I am supposed to feel bad because I am not having lots of casual sex…
Oh, and the icing on the cake? He is now not speaking to me because I did not drive an hour and twenty minutes out of my way to pick him up from the airport at 11pm with an hours notice, when he knows I am unfamiliar with the area, lacking a GPS and need to get to sleep early for uni and work.
